72-year-old Prophet arrested for Impregnating, Destroying & Burying a Babcock Dropout
A 72-year-old prophet identified as Jacob Ade Farinmade has been arrested after he impregnated, killed and buried a Babcock dropout.
The head of Celestial Church of Christ, Gospec Mission, Mosan, Ipaja, Lagos secretly buried Bunmi after she died during childbirth without informing her parents.
The Babcock dropout the 72-year-old prophet impregnated, killed and buried, was rusticated from the university in 2014 while in 200 level.
It was gathered that after the girl’s father took her to live with her mother, Derayo Omisipi, she was taken to Farinmade for spiritual deliverance and protection. The prophet who has more than 10 wives, took advantage of Bunmi’s stay in his church for the purported deliverance to lure her to bed and impregnated her.
The Nation reported that the deceased was never allowed to attend any ante-natal during her stay at the church, and her mother was told she was dead after she had already been buried near the church premises. The Prophet was arrested after the curious father who didn’t get a clear explanation on the whereabouts of his daughter, reported the incident to the police.
The matter is being handled by the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where the prophet is currently detained. Confirming the incident, the spokesman of Lagos State Police Command, Mr Bala Elkanah said the suspect had been charged to court for murder.
