#AFCON2019: Ighalo fires Super Eagles to a Winning Start in Egypt

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have started their campaign in the African Cup of Nations in Egypt with a win over Burundi.

The intense match ended goalless in the first half and it was as if the Swallows in Battle will cause an upset. The second half started with the Super Eagles dominating the match but were unable to get one pass their opponent but soon changed after Odion Ighalo was introduced in the 73rd minute. Ighalo scored just 4 minutes after he was introduced into the game by the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr.

Nigeria are now on top of Group B with 3 points as they await the result between Guinea and Madagascar.

The Super Eagles will be facing Guinea in their next fixtures while Burundi will go toe to toe with Madagascar.
