“Being African is shitty” - Nigerian Doctor who helped fight Ebola says he’s sad none of his team including Stella Adadevoh have been adequately recognized

A Nigerian Doctor has taken to his Twitter handle to complain about how himself and his team, living or dead, are yet to be well recognized by Nigerians or even the African Union.

He reveals how four years later, he’s just been awarded a medal of honour by the African Union for being part of the people who stopped the deadly disease that shook the continent at the time.

According to the doctor, himself and his other medical personnel, Dr Stella Adadevoh and Nurse Justina Ejelonu, have not been duly recognized for their contribution during the Ebola epidemic in 2014.
