Burna Boy wins Best International Act at #BETAwards; Wizkid & Davido congratulate him (Screenshot)
Nigerian Singer, Burna Boy copped for himself, the Best International Act at the just concluded 2019 BET Awards, which took place at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, USA.
Burna was nominated alongside his colleagues, AKA (South Africa), Aya Nakamura (France), Mr Eazi (Nigeria), Dave (UK), Dosseh (France) and Giggs (UK).
Burna’s mom, who also doubles as his manager, delivered a heartwarming acceptance speech at the event. According to her, Burna Boy was restless and tensed during the show.
The words that hit the most was, ‘every black person should remember they were Africans before anything else’.
