Flood sweeps away Bank Security Guard in Akwa Ibom

A man identified as Moses Obaje Yenusa, who worked as a security guard with a new generation bank in Akwa Ibom State, was, on Wednesday evening, swept away by the flood along Grace Bill road, Eket, after a downpour.

Reports have it that Moses slipped and fell inside a flooded gutter on his way back from where he went to eat.

The running flood in the gutter was so massive that he couldn’t help himself out.

While reacting to his death on social media, Nigerians advised one another to be careful out there, during this rainy season, while some blamed the government for not clearing the drainage, especially ones in major cities.

*** Omg this is so sad??, pls let’s all be careful out there especially this raining season, so many big deep gutters covered with flood.

*** Surviving in this country alone is a miracle… Anything can happen and next you are gone. RIP to the dead

*** Nigeria ought to be included in one of the 1000 Ways to Die

*** Flood is beginning to kill more people in Nigeria this days, failed government…

There have been reports of heavy rains across the country in the past few days and flooding have also been reported in some states.
