Hair stylist duped while trying to buy a Phone in Computer Village, Lagos (Photos)
You can’t be a true Lagosian if you’re not aware of the dubious schemes that transpire in the tech sales community of Lagos, Computer Village, CV for shorts.
Every now and then, there’s been reports of different kinds of dubious acts carried out in the ever busy tech village in the metropolis – from pickpockets to selling fake products and all.
A fresh story of a CV crime is one of a Nigerian lady who wanted to purchase a cheap phone in the area and so gave money to a dealer only for him to return with her money and say the phone she wanted to buy was worth more than she had.
She collected her money back but unfortunately for her, it was only a small fraction as the rest were just carton paper made to look like Naira notes.
A Twitter user who shared the story alongside photos wrote,
my hair stylist went to get a phone @ikeja computer village yesterday, liaised with this guy and gave him 15k for a said phone, few seconds the guy returned with his money saying the phone is worth more than the amount. long story short this is wat my guy found on getting home. pic.twitter.com/oP06w5TPPH
