“It gives me great joy to see Nigerian acts shine brightly on the World Stage” - Ben Bruce says as he meets Burna Boy and his Mum in LA

Former Nigerian Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce met with music act, Burna Boy and his mother in Los Angeles just before the BET Awards last night.

Burna Boy went on to win the 2019 BET best international act award and according to Ben Bruce,

‘developing the entertainment industry is one of my life’s passions and it gives me great joy to see Nigerian acts shine brightly on the world stage’.

He wrote in full,

With @burnaboy and his mum at the #BETAwards2019 in LA, where he is a nominee for Best International Act. I am hoping he wins. Developing the entertainment industry is one of my life’s passions and it gives me great joy to see Nigerian acts shine brightly on the world stage.

Burna was nominated alongside his colleagues, AKA (South Africa), Aya Nakamura (France), Mr Eazi (Nigeria), Dave (UK), Dosseh (France) and Giggs (UK).

Burna’s mom, who also doubles as his manager, delivered a heartwarming acceptance speech at the event. According to her, Burna Boy was restless and tensed during the show.
