#AFCON2019: Photo of the Egyptian doctor who saved Samuel Kalu’s life after having a heart attack during Training
Here is a photo of Super Eagles player Samuel Kalu at the hospital after surviving a heart attack while training yesterday.
Recall we reported that tests from the hospital revealed that he was dehydrated and just needed to take enough fluid after being stabilized.
The Egyptian doctor who saved the life of Samuel Kalu after he collapsed following the heart attack, was identified as Dr Ahmed Rizk.
The footballer has had rough days in the last few months, as his mother was reportedly kidnapped after which he sustained a hamstring injury while on club duties for French club Bordeaux.
Recall that it was reported months ago that his mother Ozuruonye Juliet Kalu, was kidnapped from her car on February 27 as she travelled to her home in Abia state.
She was released a week later after a ransom was paid. Prior to the Nations Cup, head coach, Gernot Rohr had voiced his concern over the fitness level of the player who scored one of Nigeria’s goals against Seychelles during the qualifiers.
