#AFCON2019: Ekong Last Minute Strike against South Africa send Nigeria to the Semi Final

Super Eagles defender, Troost-Ekong scored in the 89th minute to send the Super Eagles of Nigeria into the Semi-Finals of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria scored first through S. Chukwueze in the 27th minute before the Bafana Bafana of South Africa equalised in the Bongani Zungu in the 71st minute, the goal was first disallowed due to the fact that the scorer of the goal was offside but after a conversation with the VAR, the Referee gave the goal to the Bafana Bafana stating that the ball touched a Nigerian before getting to Bongani Zungu. Troost-Ekong 89th minute strike was the decider of the intense fixture.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have now proceeded to the semi-final of the competition and are set to play the winner between Algeria and Ivory Coast.
