“Senegal Invented Jollof Rice” – Akon gets into a Debate about Jollof Rice with Deputy Governor of Lagos (Photo, Video)
Akon is currently in Nigeria for the Google For Nigeria event taking place in the country.
The Senegalese-born American singer while at the event got into a debate with the deputy governor of Lagos, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.
The debate was about who has the best Jollof rice in Africa.
Akon defended his country of origin, saying: “Senegal Invented Jollof Rice.”
But Dr Obafemi Hamzat replied: “I’m not talking about who actually Invented, I am saying Nigeria Jollof Is the Best.”
