Dani Alves sends message to Messi after Brazil defeated Argentina in the Copa America

Brazil captain, Dani Alves, has paid tribute to his former Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi, after Brazil’s 2-0 win over Argentina at the 2019 Copa America on Wednesday.

We recalled that Brazil defeated Argentina 2-0 in the first semi-finals with Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino scoring in each half of the match on Wednesday.

Taking to his Instagram page on Thursday morning, Alves shared a picture of him and Messi hugging after the match with the caption:

“Football is often about winning, often about losing, however, will never cease to exist the affection, respect, admiration and connection with those who helped you put food in my house.
