Photos from Burial of Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti
The burial service for late Mrs Funke Olakunrin, who is the daughter of the leader of Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, was held at the St. David’s Anglican Church Ijomu, in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monday, July 22nd.
In attendance were Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his counterparts from Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti and Oyo, Prince Dapo Abiodun; Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Dr Kayode Fayemi; Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko and other dignitaries.
Olakunrin was shot and killed by armed bandits along the Benin-Ore Road on Friday, July 12th. Aged 58, she is survived by her aged father, husband Idowu Olakunrin, children and grandchildren.
