Seyi Makinde’s Assets Declaration: You have to explain your Source of Wealth – APC to Governor Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has been asked to come forward to explain his source of wealth. The APC in Oyo state made this demand barely 24 hours after the governor published his certified Asset Declaration Form which showed he was worth over N48 billion.

Reacting to this development, the chairman of the Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akin Oke, in a chat with newsmen, said the governor must explain the source of his wealth.

According to Oke, Governor Makinde just declared what he has in assets but he did not disclose how he came about such an enormous amount of wealth. Oke stressed that it was important for the governor to come forward and give a detailed explanation of how he made such money.

The Assistant Publicity Secretary, Prince Ayobami Adejumo, in a statement released today, said as an Electrical Engineering graduate, they do not know the business breakthrough Governor Makinde has had, that fetched him such an amount of money.
