It’s a time to be grateful for life and celebrated author Matt Haig is, as he took to Twitter to mark the 20th year of surviving a depression that almost killed him.
Matt Haig said he almost committed suicide at that time because he felt he had no future and will never be happy. Things however changed for good and he is now in a future that never existed. He tweeted;
20 years ago this summer I nearly died by suicide in Ibiza. I knew I had no future. I knew I’d never be happy again. Today I am in France. With family. And dog. Enchanted. I am alive. I am happy. In the future that couldn’t exist. The impossible happens via living. Stay.
