Liverpool edge Chelsea to become Super Cup Champions

Liverpool defeat Chelsea on Penalties to become the 2019/2020 Super Cup Champions.

In a very intense match that had the UEFA Europa champions, Chelsea going toe to toe with Liverpool who are the UEFA Champions League champions, there was no winner after 12o minutes of play.

Chelsea were up in the 36th minute thanks to Olivier Giroud strike and held on to the end of the first 45 minutes, Sadio Mane levelled the match just 3 minutes into the second half, the game ended 1 – 1 at full time and the match headed to Extra time.

Sadio Mane was on target again in the 98th minute as he put the Merseyside Red team ahead, Jorginho equalised from the spot 3 minutes after and that was the final score after 120 minutes.’

The match was decided by Penalty Kicks, Tammy Abraham lost the 5th PK for Chelsea while Liverpool scored all of their first 5 kicks.
