A Pakistani woman heckled Priyanka Chopra while the actress was speaking at a beauty event in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.

Priyanka was one of those who made up the panel at Beautycon Los Angeles on July 10, 2019. At some point during the event, members of the audience were given a chance to speak and one lady took the mic to call out Priyanka for a tweet where she hailed the Indian Army, back in February.

Priyanka’s old tweet reads: “Jai Hind (Long live India) #IndianArmedForces.”

But the woman said Priyanka was a hypocrite and her tweet was “encouraging nuclear war against Pakistan” while serving as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

She said to Priyanka: “So it was kind of hard hearing you talk about humanity, because as your neighbor, a Pakistani, I know you’re a bit of a hypocrite.

“You tweeted on February 26, ‘Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces.’

“You are a UNICEF ambassador for peace and you’re encouraging nuclear war against Pakistan. There’s no winner in this. As a Pakistani, millions of people like me have supported you in your business of Bollywood and you wanted nuclear war.

“Jai Hind” is a slogan that translates to “Hail India,” often used in political speeches by Indian leaders.

“I hear you!” Priyanka said from the stage as the woman yelled at her.

Before the woman could finish her speech, two security men walked up to her and dragged the microphone from her. She kept speaking in spite of this but she was no longer audible.

Priyanka said as she waited for the woman to stop speaking: “Whenever you’re done venting… got it, done? Okay, cool.”

At this point, when the woman’s voice could no longer be heard, Priyanka responded: “I have many, many friends from Pakistan and I am from India.

“War is not something I’m really fond of but I am patriotic, so I’m sorry if I hurt sentiments to people who do love me and have loved me.”

She continued, “But I think that all of us have a, sort of, middle ground that we all have to walk. Just like you probably do as well. The way that you came at me right now… girl, don’t yell. We’re all here for love.”

The lady later took to Twitter to reveal she’s the one who yelled at Priyanka.

Ayesha Malik tweeted: “Hi, I’m the girl that “yelled” at Priyanka Chopra. It was hard listening to her say, “we should be neighbors and love each other” — swing that advice over to your PM. Both India and Pakistan were in danger. And instead she tweeted out in favor for nuclear war.”

She added: “It took me back to when I couldn’t reach my family because of the blackouts and how scared/helpless I was. She gaslit me and turned the narrative around on me being the “bad guy” — as a UN ambassador this was so irresponsible.”

Ayesha also shared videos from the event and wrote: “Priyanka Chopra tweeted during a time when we were this close to sending nukes to one another. Instead of advocating for peace she tweeted in support of the Indian army.”
