Selfish forces behind rift with Obaseki – Oshiomhole

My Offence is I refused to share Money with people that brought me to Power - Governor Obaseki speaks on fight with Oshiomhole (Video)

Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has blamed his alleged face-off with Governor Godwin Obaseki on selfish forces.

The Former Governor of Edo State made the claim after a one-hour meeting with Governor Obaseki and members of his cabinet at his Iyamoh residence in Estako West Local Government Area of the state.

Describing Governor Obaseki as his ‘brother’, Oshiomhole said they’ve always been in touch before the recent meeting and also accused the media of creating factions for gains.

“From time to time, we have always been meeting. It is not an unusual visit, the meeting afforded me the opportunity to meet with my brother and with people I have worked with” he said.

Governor Obaseki on his own part said he decided to celebrate Sallah with his former boss on Monday, August 12, just like he did earlier with former APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

“There is nothing unusual about this meeting; today is Sallah and we have just finished celebrating with the former APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun in Benin City and we decided to come here to celebrate Sallah with my predecessor,” the governor said.
