DSS confirms arrest of Omoyele Sowore, accuses him of being in touch with 'foreign actors' to destabilise Nigeria

The Department of State Services has transferred Sahara Reporters founder and pro-democracy campaigner, Omoyele Sowore, to Abuja.

According to a report by SaharReporters, ‘sources at the DSS said Sowore, who has been held incommunicado since Saturday when he was arrested and detained, is in a high-security detention facility of the service in Abuja’.

Sowore was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, August 3rd 2019 for organising the #RevolutionNow ‘Days of Rage’ protest to challenge bad governance in Nigeria
