”What an Assault on our Democracy” – Oby Ezekwesili reacts as FG reportedly builds fence around Unity Fountain Abuja, threatens to file Lawsuit

The Unity Fountain Abuja has served as a rallying point for many protests within the Capital city. The fountain until now was an open space where anyone can walk in to relax or organize a protest.

According to former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, the Federal government is currently building a fence around the Unity Fountain. Reacting to this development, the former Minister who hitherto uses the same fountain for the convergence of the Bring Back Our Girls campaigners, says this move by the Federal government will end in tears. She threatened to file a lawsuit against the Federal government if the fence is not pulled down.
