Manchester United are close to signing a mouth-watering  £70m-A-Year-Shirt Sponsorship Deal With Haier Group, replacing Chevrolet as the club’s main shirt sponsors.

The Red Devils have used American car company, Chevrolet as their main kit sponsor on their kits since the start of the 2014-15 season after agreeing on a huge deal worth around £450m in 2012 worth about 67m pounds per year and it is the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in world football.

But according to the SUN UK, the Red Devils under increasing pressure due to new shirt deals signed by Liverpool and Manchester City are in advanced negotiations with Haier Group, and executives from the club have held high-level talks with the Chinese company about replacing their current sponsors.

The SUN UK report also states that senior representatives of the company have held talks at United’s London base over the last few days for a £70m-per-season deal.

Both sides are close to an agreement, but Man U will wait for a little for other offers and see if Chevrolet will up their current deal.

“United’s sponsorship process has become an industry benchmark,” an industry source told The Sun.

“Their shirt is one of the most valuable assets in world sport.”
