Singer and rapper Eldee The Don has put up an argument on the population figure of Nigeria. In a recent post shared on Instagram, Eldee argued that the population of Nigeria is not 190 million as widely believed and reported.

According to Eldee, Nigerians have perpetrated the falsehood for so long and it is now being seen as truth.

He employed his followers to do a maths calculation with him where he compared the landmass of Lagos with that of Beijing and concluded that it is impossible for Lagos to house 17 million people as reported.

Eldee added that the true figures of Africa’s population will emerge the moment African politicians stop using the figures as a wealth distribution metric.
