Here's what Kanu Nwankwo thinks about the New Super Eagles Kit

Nigerian and Arsenal football legend, Kanu Nwankwo has shared his thought on the new Nigerian jersey made by Nike for 2020.

On February 5, the sportswear giants unveiled the new Super Eagles jerseys in New York and got everyone talking. The home jersey was inspired by traditional agbada while the away was inspired by Onaism.

In a recent interview with Goal, Kanu, who played 87 times for Nigeria, was asked about the Super Eagles new kit.  In his reply, the former Super Eagles skipper admitted that he likes the new jersey but questioned why the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) didn’t carry the ex-internationals along over the choices of kits.

“I do like the jersey but in the future when they are doing things like this, ex-internationals should be carried along in order to feel our own opinion,” Kanu told Goal. “If not, we will accept whatever is thrown at us even if we don’t like it.”

The Super Eagles squad are expected to wear the new jerseys during the qualifying campaigns for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup.
