A British journalist has angered the public after she made a disrespectful comment about Meghan Markle on live TV and people have gone on her page to attack her.

During an interview on MSNBC Live, British reporter, Victoria Mather said Meghan Markle is “five clicks up from trailer trash” yet she has been disrespecting the queen.

Victoria, formerly the Travel Editor of Vanity Fair, made this statement while discussing Harry and Meghan stepping back from royal duties.

She began by speculating on the reason why Meghan wanted to leave the royal family. She claimed it has to do with her feeling jealous of sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

She said: “I don’t think Meghan Markle wanted to spend the rest of her life looking at Kate Middleton’s back as she sat in the second row to the future queen. I don’t think she wanted – she didn’t want to be second best.”

She added: “I do hear that she gave Kate a knife for Christmas. Which is quite something, isn’t it?”

She then launched an attack on Meghan, saying: “I think what has really, really upset the British public is that Meghan Markle, who many people consider as only, you know, five clicks up from trailer trash, has actually tried to disrespect the queen. And the queen is the most respected person, most respected woman, in the world.”

When she made the shocking comments, MSNBC anchor Lindsey Reiser immediately ended the interview.

After the interview started going viral, people flocked to Victoria’s Instagram to drag her. Some left clown emojis, some left rat emojis, and some told her she’s cancelled and they’ll never buy her book.
