Davido says showing off his wealth is for Americans who believe Africans live in huts

Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke popularly called Davido has said that he is unbothered by what people think of him for showing off his father’s wealth. According to him, he is not trying to oppress anybody.

The entertainer said that he is inspiring people and not flaunting his father’s wealth in people’s faces. Recently, the father of three shared a photo of his father’s newly acquired aircraft on his Instagram page.

The private jet was reported to cost N22bn and was purchased for long haul flights.

A few hours ago, Davido shared a video of his father and his friends having fun in his private jet and he noted that, that would be him and his friends when they grow older.

Davido who is known for his generosity to friends and fans flaunts his wealth and makes no apologies about it. From outfits to expensive necklaces and foods, the musician thrives on letting people know that he’s got the bag.

In a chat with Vanguard, the entertainer explained that he is motivating people with the show of his wealth. According to him, kids write to tell him that he is the reason they want to finish school and become successful in life.

He also noted that he is flaunting his wealth to let some Americans who believe that Africans live in huts to know that they also live a big life. He said that his expensive lifestyle is not to oppress anybody.
