Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has responded to the claims of her colleague Zubby Michael about the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) that took place on Saturday, March 14, 2020.

The intent of the award is to honour and recognise outstanding achievement in television and film but some celebrities had some reservations over the seventh edition of the award ceremony.

Nollywood actor Zubby Michael was one of those celebrities as he bared his mind on his social media page. Legit.ng earlier reported that the actor called the award a fake and noted that it was highly political.

According to him, the pillars of Nollywood were not acknowledged.

Zubby’s colleague, Angela Okorie has now reacted to his claims. Taking to her Instagram page, the actress told Michael to light up his own world.

The mother of one advised her colleague to come out of the dark and stop complaining or blaming people for not making him become a better version of himself.

The movie star explained that it takes hard work to become recognized, so, she advised him to keep working till he gets to his desired destination.

She also urged him to be happy for others and not allow envy in his heart. According to her, his day will definitely come and his hard work will pay off for him.
