BREAKING: Senator Ahmed Lawan emerges as the Senate President of the 9th National Assembly

Senate President of Nigeria, Ahmed Lawan mispronounced “COVID-19” as “COD 19” on national TV while speaking about the deadly coronavirus.

Ahmed said: “…to fight the COD 19 virus threat in Nigeria…”

This blunder did not go unnoticed by viewers and they took to Twitter to express their disappointment.

Twitter users asked how our leaders will help fight the coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria when they can’t be bothered to learn what it’s called.

This comes days after the President of Nigeria also mispronounced the name of the virus.
