Police storm Obalende Market, allegedly destroy Food Items (Photos)

Nigerians on social media have accused the police of destroying foodstuff at Obalende Market, Lagos State.

This action was reportedly carried out due to the lockdown order by the Lagos State Government in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus and facilitate social distancing.

It is worthy of note that sellers of essential items like foodstuff, medical supplies and other necessary commodity were exempted from the lockdown.

The photos making the rounds on social media however, tell a different story as the destruction caused by the Law Enforcement Agencies was damning.
