Taye Taiwo is bereaved after losing his father Pa Salisu

Former Nigerian international Taiye Taiwo who currently plays for RoPS Rovaniemi of Finland announced the passing away of his father Pa Salisu saying “rest in peace my father”.

The former Marseille of France player took to his Instagram handle to reveal the sad situation and also added teary emojis to express his sadness.

According to Brila, the late Salisu who lived around Isheri-Olofin area of Lagos spent most of his life working as a welder in the neighbourhood, before his son came to limelight as a footballer.

He is survived by Taiye Taiwo and four other siblings. Taiwo who is now 34 years old has 53 appearances for the Nigerian senior national team where he scored five goals.
