Richard Mofe-Damijo suggests that the Nigeria Customs Service donate seized food items to Nigerians who are on Lockdown over the Coronavirus Crisis

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo popularly known as RMD has called on the government to ask Nigerian customs where they keep seized foods.

The actor stated that the seized foods should be donated to poor Nigerians who do not have the means to feed themselves during this lockdown happening across the country.

Like in many other countries, Nigerians have been asked to stay at home to prevent a further spread of the deadly infection but many have taken to their various social media pages to lament about basic daily needs like food.

While many individuals and organisations have donated a huge sum of money to care for people in need, many Nigerians are still in lack.

In view of this, the popular movie star said that the lockdown period would be a good time for the government to release seized foods by the Nigerian customs to poor people.

According to him, food is a major part of the lockdown and the rice, tomato, vegetable oil and other foodstuffs in the possession of customs can go a long way to helping people. He noted that this is the time for customs to tell Nigerians how much relief they can bring to the people.
