There are people who have needs but have no data – Toke Makinwa speaks on Social Media Giveaway

The coronavirus pandemic has brought about a lot of generosity in humans, especially those who have more than enough and can afford to give out to others.

The pandemic has become an issue for global concern and many governments across the world have limited movement of its citizens as they are advised to stay at home and self-isolate.

Well, this move is no doubt a commendable one, but it has left many other people stranded, especially those who survive on their daily earnings.

In order to cushion the blow of the lockdown, some celebrities in Nigeria have resorted to giving out money to fans.

Just recently, media personality, Toke Makinwa, opened the floor for fans to ask her questions on Twitter and a curious fan asked why she no longer helps people on social media.

The fan identified as Alhaji Junior wrote:

“Aunty toke why you no dey help people on social media again or should I say you are not helping publicly,this will be a good time for you to help me na ….. I really need some foodstuffs st home, hunger wan finish me”.

Toke then responded by saying that she stopped doing that because there are people in orphanages, old people’s homes and without data who need her help more.

She wrote: “Cos there are people in orphanages, old people’s homes, communities without data, they have needs too.”
