Popular Nigerian singer, Peruzzi, real name Tobechukwu Victor Okoh has shared with fans and followers his real reason why after going to medical school, ditched the discipline for a career in music.

We’re not new to the fact that the singer, some time ago, before he became what he is today was on the path of being a medical doctor, however, we’ve not really known why he switched sides.

Signed to Afropop crooner, Davido’s record label, DMW, Peruzzi shared his reason for ditching medicine on an Instagram live interview with Nigerian music executive, Ubi Franklin on the 16th of April, 2020.

According to Peruzzi, going to medical school was influenced by his mother but in the long run, he had to choose what he wants for himself.

In how own words,

“I went to medical school because of my mother. I had to abandon the lab coat (Doctor’s robe) because it wasn’t giving me what I want.”

The singer also stated that he found satisfaction in music as music is what he loved doing.

Asked who inspires him in the entertainment industry, Peruzzi said the following people, Tuface Idibia, Annie Idibia, Davido and Larry Gaaga.
