Davido expresses excitement after show promoter sends him a demo copy of his first single Dami Duro (Photo)
David Adeleke popularly called Davido has taken to his official Instagram page to show off the demo copy of his single, Dami Duro.
The father of three shared a WhatsApp conversation he had with a show promoter, Cecil Hammond, who sent him a photo of the CD.
Hammond is the president of Flytime Group, a showbiz outfit that helps young music talents find their rhythm. The renowned show promoter is also responsible for helping returnee artistes settle down here in Nigeria.
In the conversation between Davido and Hammond, the showbiz promoter said that he found a copy of the CD that the singer brought to him some years ago.
The singer expressed surprise at the message he received. The showbiz promoter went on to hail him. He said that Davido is still number one. Reacting to the message, Davido said that when he started music, he submitted the demo copy to Hammond in 2011.
He stated that he was hoping to get signed outside a concert. The father of three declared that he needs the CD while appreciating God for how far he has come.
The entertainer rose to fame after releasing Dami Duro, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo. In 2012, he won the Next Rated award at The Headies.
