NYSC set to reopen orientation camps across the nation, list guidelines to be implemented

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is set to reopen orientation camp across the nation and has listed guidelines to be implemented at the camps for smooth conduct.

According to circular signed on behalf of the NYSC Director general, the strategies have been reviewed by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

This is coming one week after Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo-led Economic Sustainability Committee (ESC) called on the federal government to consider suspending the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp exercises for two years.

It is still not known if FG will take this portion of the Economic Sustainability Committee’s recommendation.

It should be recalled that in March, NYSC camps were closed following the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus in Nigeria.
