People started unfollowing Hushpuppi, despite all the giveaways of millions he has done – Harry Song says
Nigerian big money spender, Hushpuppi, is no stranger to being all over social media as his flashy lifestyle served as goals for many people who did not care to know how he made his money.
Well, Hushpuppi has now been in the news for a different reason entirely after reports made the rounds on social media that he was arrested by the Interpol and FBI.
The report of his arrest is still unconfirmed and many Nigerians have already taken to social media to speculate on the crime he committed if truly he was arrested.
Many people have started to spread the report that Hushpuppi might have been arrested in relation to an unemployment claim fraud which was meant for Native Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.
This involves people’s social security numbers being used to fraudulently file unemployment claims on their behalf. It was said that the fraud ran into over $100 million and that the masterminds have been traced to having links with Nigeria.
Nigerian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Harrison Tare Okiri, better known by his stage name Harrysong, has now disclosed how quickly Hushpuppi’s followers unfollowed him today on Instagram, following the news of his arrest.
The reggae blues crooner, also asked his followers what lessons they learnt from Hushpuppi’s travails.
He wrote;
“See how quickly people started unfollowing Hushpuppi, as soon as they heard he’s been arrested.
Without even asking to know the real and true story.
After all his give away in millions. What lesson did you learn from this matter right now?
