God is not happy with us – Aisha Buhari says
Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, has said the global COVID-19 pandemic is a sign that God is not happy with humans.
She made the statement during Friday prayers at the National Mosque in Abuja, The Cable reports.
The First Lady of Nigeria addressing attendees at the 60th independence day public lecture and special Juma’at prayer held at the mosque called on Nigerians to pray to God for the end of the deadly virus.
Aisha Buhari said: “The world is no longer the same as a result of the pandemic and the pandemic is a sign that almighty God is not happy with us.
“We need to pray for forgiveness. I think we have no choice than to continue asking for forgiveness from Almighty Allah.”
She also reportedly urged leaders to always ensure justice to all, adding the president needs support and cooperation of all Nigerians to fulfil his change mantra.
