An angry mob invaded the premises of Television Continental, TVC located in the Ikosi-Isheri area of Lagos state and set cars and other properties on fire on Wednesday morning, October 21.
A staff of TVC, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, confirmed the news in an Instagram Live update.
Afolabi-Brown who hosts the programme, Your View, said the programme had to be abruptly suspended as the mob invaded the station.
“Yes, I can confirm it. Cars within the compound are already on fire and parts of the station are in flames. Our popular morning programme “Your View” that was ongoing before the attack is already off the
air. Please pray for our colleagues who are trapped and taking cover in the compound,” she said.
