Actor Mr Ibu receives award as the Best Comedian in Nollywood

John Okafor is a popular Nollywood actor and comedian known widely for starring in the Mr Ibu franchise and for his appearances in other popular movies has been awarded the best African comedian in the Nollywood industry.

The organizers of the Superior Radio and Television Awards, SRTV Awards, described Mr Ibu as the ‘Best Comedian in Nollywood.’

The award tagged as Honorary Award – African Star is to acknowledge the 59 years old actor for his immense contribution to the entertainment and media industries in Africa.

Announcing Mr Ibu’s achievement to the world, the organizers wrote, ”He is John Okafor. He is the best African comedian and He is one of our winners.”

Ibu has acted in more than 200 movies including Mr Ibu (2004), Mr Ibu in London (2004), Police Recruit (2003), 9 Wives (2005), Ibu in Prison (2006), and Keziah (2007).
