Awards actually don’t mean anything to me anymore – Vector says after the nomination list for the year 2020 Headies award was released

Popular Nigerian rapper, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun known by his stage name, Vector, has reacted after the nomination list for the year 2020 Headies award was released.

After the release of the nominations for the Headies Award, a lot of reactions have been flying around concerning the nomination process of the award.

 

The rapper via his Twitter handle made it known that he intentionally ignored the nomination process so that other upcoming singers and rappers can have their ways and have a taste of success.

He also made it known that he’s already big in the industry and deserves a better life than just chancing Awards with those who he considered being below him.

The rapper also talked about his beef with Mode9 saying that he doesn’t have anything against him and they can’t be competing with someone like him in the industry.

His tweet reads:

As for the Headies. I stopped entering for it because I don’t want to compete with rappers (I can easily beat them on a one on one but that was Unilag).
I’m grown now. Awards actually don’t mean anything to me anymore. Let new people win awards.

I intentionally removed myself from the idea that I have to outdo mode9. It’s not necessary. Ask him about me in the studio and he will tell you. I don’t care about clout… I just want to make music. Fuck money too. That shit comes and goes anyway.
