Free my people & bring them home safe – Wizkid calls for the release of Omah Lay & Tems
Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid has called on the Ugandan police to release their fellow colleagues.
Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems are currently trending on Twitter following news they have been remanded in prisons for flouting COVID-19 guidelines in Uganda.
The pair were arrested on Sunday, December 13, together with their managers for holding an illegal concert at Ddungu resort in Munyonyo where they gathered big crowds despite President Yoweri Museveni’s directives on the prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
Wizkid took to his social media accounts to call for the immediate release of both Omah Lay and Tems.
