Chef Ayomide, a gay rights advocate who trended after he revealed he was gay while showing off his partner took to Instagram to reveal that he will be the first man to openly get married as a gay in Nigeria.

Ayomide Idowu, who is also a male rape survivor took to his Instagram page and wrote:

”LGBT Marriage must be Approved and signed in Nigeria ??

I Have made research as An Activist, being GAY is not a curse
It is a fascinating lifestyle that ranges from Glory to Glory
Encompassing the earth surfaces….why would you be scared in Your Fathers land being GAY…..I think Nigeria should stop being Homophobic, we are in a modernized world, despite the hatred Nigeria is still Number 1 country that has the most populace and popular LGBT…..
If crossdressing is Accepted without no hatred
There is A great Hope that LGBT will be Approved…

Recall that former President Goodluck Jonathan signed the anti-gay law in January 2014. The law prohibits homosexual activities in Nigeria which includes gay marriages. It prescribes a 14-year term for any gay person caught in the act of homosexuality.

In another news, Chef Ayomide also took to Instagram to reveal that g*ys in Nigeria are one the most successful and influential personalities.

According to him, he is lucky and blessed to associate with queerness and it is a personality he does not intend to change.

He took to his Instagram page and wrote:

“For how long will we continue to deny our sexual orientation? Being gays, we are blessed as one of the most influential and successful in Nigeria.”

“If someone asks me who am I? I reply I am a Homosexual”

“The name homosexual looks strange to homophobic people, it’s not strange to me because it’s a blessing, it reveals my personality”
