Kemi Alabi: Identity of lady used in BBC sex for grade documentary exposed

The identity of the Nigerian lady named Kemi Alabi who was used in the BBC sex for grade documentary has been revealed.

The investigative project that rocked the country in 2019, was led by Kiki Mordi, a reporter at BBC Africa Eye, anonymous Kemi Alabi and some other volunteer investigative journalists.

The documentary exposed the atrocities committed by lecturers and how female students – those struggling with studies, seeking admission or in search of mentors are being exploited and harassed sexually.

Dr Samuel Oladipo and Dr Boniface Igbenegbu from the University of Lagos while Ransford Gyampo and Paul Butakor from the University of Ghana were culprits as revealed in the documentary.

Ms Mordi, the lead reporter of the documentary, who herself had suffered sexual harassment disclosed that she was forced to quit her undergraduate studies after the unfortunate incident as she could no longer bear the trauma.

The BBC Africa Eye team comprising Kiki Mordi, Kemi Alabi and Charlie Northcott began the investigations into the #SexforGrades as far back as November 2017.

If you recall in the past few days, there have been a series of rancour between Kiki Mordi and a freelance journalist Oge Obi who was also part of the project, but rather chose to be anonymous.

Oge had accused Kiki of taking all the accolades from the expository documentary and also refusing to share the cash proceeds from the project with other members of the team.

Well, Oge Obi has just revealed the identity of the lady popularly named Kemi Alabi in the project and she is no one other than Oge Obi herself.
