A video of Nigerian singer, Omah Lay expressing his disappointment with how he is being treated in Uganda has gone viral after being shared online.

We reported earlier that Omah Lay and his fellow Nigerian singer, Tems are being charged with “negligently doing acts likely to spread infectious diseases” after performing in a show in the country. While Omah Lay was taken to Kitalya prison, Tems was taken to Kigo prison.

A video from their arraignment in court today December 14 has been shared online. While Omah Lay was seen in the video asking why he is being placed on a handcuff, Tems’ manager Muyiwa Awoniyi told the Ugandan Police officers that they are not criminals but only came to the country.

There was also a complaint of the handcuff being too tight.
