“Religion is the reason your wife has not stabbed you” – Actor, Femi Jacobs
Award-winning actor, Femi Jacobs has shared a thought-provoking piece about people’s misguided opinion that religion is the leading cause of Nigeria’s problems.
The actor took to Twitter to implore Nigerians to have a rethink about religion being our problem. According to him, the average Nigerians should use the same yardstick used in judging religion’s place in Nigeria’s predicament, to judge their lives as well.
He said religion is the only reason why people haven’t murdered each other. Stressing further that religion gives people succour and comfort when they are aggrieved or denied their rights, noting that if people were made to face the full consequences of their evil actions, they would change their narrative.
In a series of tweets, Femi Jacobs wrote,
