TRAGIC! Popular billionaire businessman Bolu Akin-Olugbade dies of COVID-19

Nigerian topmost billionaire businessman, Bolu Akin-Olugbade, has died from COVID-19 complications aged 64.

Bolu Akin-Olugbade dies

According to family sources, the late socialite reportedly died at a Paelon COVID Center in Ikeja on Wednesday, January 13. He was the Aare Ona-Kankanfo of Owu kingdom.

He was born on April 2, 1956, to the family of late Babatunde Akin-Olugbade, Balogun of Owu and a wealthy businessman.

Bolu Akin-Olugbade dies

The well-known socialite and successful lawyer obtained a doctorate in Company Law from Cambridge University. He was a great lover of high-end Rolls Royce cars and globally reputed as one of the largest collectors of Rolls Royce.

His business interest includes property development, construction, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, maritime and offshore services and investment banking.

Popular comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, took to Instagram to mourn the late billionaire.

He wrote,

“Haaaaaaaaaa! Death Why? EGBON REST IN PEACE. Bolu Akin-Olugbade, son of Chief Babatunde Akin-Olugbade, Balogun of Owu, the traditional Prime Minister. RIP @ Lagos, Nigeria.”
