Reason Davido was absent at Headies Award show despite being nominated
Nigeria’s biggest award show, The Headies held its 14th edition on Sunday, February 21, and the show was graced by top players in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Industry heavyweights like Wizkid, Tubaba, Deejay Neptune and some others also attended the award show. However, DMW music executive, David Adeleke aka Davido, was absent despite being nominated in six different categories.
The absence of the Jowo crooner sparked mixed reactions on social media, with the majority of fans wondering why the music star failed to show up.
The real reason for his absence has been revealed and it is because he had flown out to Atlanta, Georgia prior to the commencement of the show.
Davido shared a photo of himself at the airport hours before the show started, and revealed that he was flying out to have a better time.
He wrote,
