Burna Boy’s performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards
The popular Nigerian Afro-fusion artiste, Burna Boy, has become the topic of discussion on the streets of social media.
Burna Boy performed to close out the 2021 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony. The performance of “Level Up,” “Onyeka,” and “Ye” came after the Nigerian artist won Best Global Music Album for Twice as Tall. Watch the performance below.
Hosted by Jhené Aiko, the Grammy Premiere Ceremony also featured performances from Rufus Wainwright, Lido Pimienta, Poppy, and a tribute to Marvin Gaye.
The Global Music Album category was recently reconfigured from previous iterations as the award for Best World Music Album; Twice as Tall won over records from Anoushka Shankar, Bebel Gilberto, Antibalas, and Tinariwen.
