Actress Ruth Kadiri calls out Mo Abudu, others for allegedly snubbing her

“Abolish voting in Nigeria, until death sentence laws are given to corrupt politicians and public servants” - Actress, Ruth Kadiri

Talented Nollywood actress and producer, Ruth Kadiri, recently took to social media and called out media mogul Mo Abudu and the Lagos state government for sidelining and snubbing her work during the Eko Films and TV awards.

Ruth Kadiri, who recently turned a year older, via her Instagram page, called out the organisers of the Eko Stars award for snubbing her and her work.

According to reports, the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, in partnership with EbonyLife Place and Nigerian International Film Summit (NIFS), recognized creative people in films, rewarding talented filmmakers and actresses.

Amongst the filmmakers that were awarded, movie producer, Ruth Kadiri was missing which prompted her to air her grievances.

Taking to her social media to air her displeasure, Ruth Kadiri wrote;

‘I am a filmmaker. I am a woman. I am a hard-working woman. I have faced the struggles every woman/filmmaker has faced. Did my name at any point pop up yes, but because I do not belong to a click? Yet again, I have been overlooked will not be pressured. I will keep working hard. @lagosstategovt @moabudu @ijayonah @nifsummit thanks for overlooking me and congrats to everyone who got recognized.’
