Chelsea extend Olivier Giroud's Contract to 2022

Chelsea FC have extended the contract of French striker, Olivier Giroud to 2022. The 35-year-old forward will remain at the London club for another season.

Giroud will be helping Chelsea defend their UEFA Champions League in Europe and also to clinch the English Premier League title next season.

The European champions since defeating Manchester City in the UCL final have been able to extend the contract of manager, Thomas Tuchel and defender, Thiago Silva. The manager’s contract was extended to 2024 while Silva’s contract was extended for just one year.

The Blues are also reportedly planning to start discussing a contract extension with defensive midfielder, N’golo Kante in the coming weeks.
