Deplorable state of Primary School in Oil-rich Delta Community

The attention of the public has been brought to the deplorable state of a public primary school in Akarai Etiti community in the oil-rich Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.

A native of the community who pleaded anonymity spoke to newsmen on how members of the community have been having tough times getting basic things of life around them.

The children not only receive the poorest forms of education, but the entire community also lacks suitable drinking water as the only source of water in the community is a dirty pond.

He said:

This is what we suffer here despite the state being one of the top three oil-rich states in the country and Ndokwa East LGA a major oil producing Local government area in Delta State.

The Governor of Delta State, The Local Government Chairman, The DESOPADEC Commissioner, the member representing Ndokwa East Constituency, the member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency have all abandoned the only educational facility in Akarai Etiti Community, at Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state.

Aside lack of educational facility, the people of Akarai Etiti Community lack suitable water supply as their only source of water supply’s is dirty pond water.

Aside The lack of suitable water supply, the Akarai clan amongst other communities in that region of Ndokwa East LGA, do not have access Road network.
