#BBNaija 2021: Emmanuel, Saskay, Niyi, White Money, Yousef and More win First House Challenge
The housemates of the Big Brother Naija season 6 “Shine Ya Eye” had their first in-house challenge powered by the associate sponsor of the show, Patricia today Saturday, 31st July 2021.
The challenge was divided into two sessions,
- Creating a Drama, Music or Poetry to promote gift cards in Nigeria, a test of Creativity, Teamwork and Originality
- Arena games, a test of cognitive skills and more
The housemates were shared into 4 groups with 5 members each and the remaining 2 housemates are assistant Biggie (Umpires).
These are the groups,
Pink – Jaypaul, Saskay, Emmanuel, Niyi and Arin
Orange – Peace, Yerins, Beatrice, Liquorose and Saga
Blue – Maria, Tega, Boma, Princess and Jackie B
Green – Cross, Angel, Nini, Sammie and Pere
Umpires – White Money and Yousef
The housemates presented their drama earlier in the day and were later called into the Arena for their second task in which they are tested in the following,
Cognitive Skills, a set of statements were read to one representative of each team and they were later asked questions from the statements that were read earlier in which they are to raise a TRUTH/FALSE placard if the question asked is True or False.
Holding the Stick, four housemates from each group are to hold a stick with their index fingers, they are to move the stick to the floor without it falling.
Blowing the Cup, one representative from each team is to blow down a blue cup that is surrounded by white cups without touching the white cups and they can blow it with a balloon full of air which they blew in it.
Throwing the Ball, one representative from each team is timed to hit holes on the wall with several balls.
Ping Pong, a representative from each team is to try and aim cups that are placed on a table with a ping pong ball. Each cup is assigned a point.
The team scores from the Creativity challenges are,
Team Pink = 8 points
Team Blue = 6 points
Team Orange = 6 points
Team Green = 3 points
The scores from the Arena games are,
Team Orange = 31 points
Team Blue = 35 points
Team Green = 40 points
Team Pink = 59 points
The total points for the teams are,
Team Pink = 67 points
Team Green = 43 points
Team Blue = 41 points
Team Orange = 37 points
As rewards for winning the challenge, the winning team and the 2 umpires were awarded $3,500 to share amongst themselves.
